The Town of Ashford is located in the county of Kent, England. At the southern edge of the North Downs, it lies on the banks of the River Great Stour, approximately 61 miles southeast of central London and 15.3 miles northwest of Folkestone. The 2011 census recorded 74,204 residents in the city. Ashford is located in the heart of Kent and is known as the Garden of England.

The city is only an hour and a half drive and a 40-minute train ride from London, the capital of England, and the United Kingdom. As a market town, Ashford dates back to the 13th century.
